The air is polluted heavily in the place over 10 meters away

    In summer,it seems to have became a habit for most people to eat barbecue and drink beer.However, many people do not know that barbecue not only taste bad but smell harmful.For days,Jinan News reporters have visited several barbecue shop to have a test.It is found that the PM2.5 near the shop was over the bid instantly with the shop fired.Moreover,some place far away from the shop still had a high value of PM2.5.

Barbecuers are the most victims:the PM2.5 reached the peak instantaneously beside the oven

    Reporters came to a barbecue shop on weft road，there are about 20 tables before the door,nearly take up half of the pavement.A 3-meter-long stove was putted in the area within 10 square meters.About 5 p.m.,reporters arrived at the barbecue shop,when the shop did not open the fire officially.After testing the air quality using the detector of Novafitness,reporters found that the value of PM2.5 and PM10 was respectively 253 μg/m3 and 386 μg/m3。

    After 6 p.m.,with the number of people raising gradually,a white smoke has enveloped the shop.The reporter took out the PM2.5 detector again and put it about 1 meter from hte stove.Just a few seconds,the concentration of PM2.5 and PM10 has faced the limit of hte detector.The reporter held the instrument near the stove about 10 minutes,the average data is 900 or more though a slight changes.Comparing before and after the oven litting,the value of PM2.5 has increased nearly 3 times,and the PM10 has increased nearly 2 times.

    Subsequently,reporters visited several barbecue shop on the west rosd of south Xinzhuang and longitude 7 road.Many of these shops put the stove in the open-air with a big fan blowing beside.Reporters tested the value of PM2.5 many times standing by the stove,however,both the value of PM2.5 and PM10 has faced the limit of the instrument in a flash.The value of PM2.5 is still over 900μg/m3during the 10 minutes.

    According to the related standards,it will lead to air pollution if the value of PM2.5 surpass 75μg/m3,experts said.Now the value of PM2.5 has exceeded 10 times of the criterion.Barbecue is really a typical pollution source of PM2.5,barbecuer is the biggest suffer.It's harmful to their health.

People sitting in the barbecue as "vacuum cleaner",the value of PM2.5 is still extradinary though it is 6 meters away from the stove,the outlet is more serious

    For days,reporters has discovered that the pollution source exists not only the stove but the whole barbecue area.Reporters selected 3 dining places on the road of longitude 4 in the case of no wind to test the value of PM2.5,according to the distance from near to far,the value of PM2.5 is respectively 999μg/m3,776μg/m3,520μg/m3.Howerer,we are amazed to find that the value of PM2.5 of the place where is 10 meters away from the stove was only  172μg/m3.

    Then the reporters came to a barbecue shop near the longitude 5 road,the value of PM2.5 is respectively 686μg/m3,805μg/m3,525μg/m3 with the distance from near to far.About 10 meters away from the barbecue area the value of PM2.5 plummeted to 242μg/m3 .

Experts said

    Generally,the concentration of PM2.5 is propotional to the distance from the stove，and if it is windy，the pollution on the downside is more serious than on the windward.But as long as it is a barbecue area，the PM2.5 will still be exceeding.

The value of PM2.5 dropped more than half after instaling the purification,even near the stove 

    Reporters came to a conclusion through the test that as a barbecue hsop tha same the one which equiped with purification has a lower value of PM2.5.

Recently,the reporters came to a barbecue shop near the Wolong road which has spent about 20 thound yuan instaling the purification.Reporters saw that the equipment consisted of flue and cover was above the oven,you can see the smoke is inhaled clearly if you stand by the stove.Reporters tasted the value of PM2.5 when the purification is on and off,respectively were 900μg/m3 and 382μg/m3.It's obvious that the value of PM2.5 has declined by more than half.Not only that the value of PM2.5 in the area where is 2 meters far from the shop had fell to 183μg/m3 .The PM2.5 had fell to 120μg/m3 on the north of the barbecue shop.

    A barbecue shop near the longitude 1 road adopted new smokeless barbecue oven.Before the stove the value was  236μg/m3,and the whole area wa s167μg/m3.

Experts said:the purification can filter out most of the pollutants.

Different purifications has different purify efficiency,some can filter out 70% pollutants,others even can filter out 90% pollutants.

Barbecue is an important source of PM2.5,long-term intake can lead to lung disease

    Professor of chemical engineering at the Jinan University Liusicehgn analysis that barbecue is a typical source of PM2.5.We will intake the smoke into the pulmonary,it can cause lung disease if is not be excluded soon,especially for the barbecuer.

Besides,barbecue is unfavorable to eat too much because it contains carcinogens,especially the skin of burnt meat and fish.There are also quite a number of carcinogens in the mix of firewokes.

What are the standards of PM2.5

    According to the technical regulations of the Air Quality Index:when the average concentration of PM2.5 is 35μg/m3,the air quality is excellent;when the average concentration of PM2.5 is 75μg/m3,the air quality is good;when the average concentration of PM2.5 is 115μg/m3,the air quality is polluted slightly;when the average concentration of PM2.5 is 150μg/m3,the air quality is moderate pollution;when the average concentration of PM2.5 is 250μg/m3,the air quality is polluted highly;when the average concentration of PM2.5 is over 250μg/m3,the air quality is polluted heavily.
